People can be more forgiving than you can imagine. But you have to forgive yourself. Let go of what’s bitter and move on.

None of us is perfect. Everyone has got a skeleton in the closet that they don’t want people to find out. I just let it go, with a bit of humor.

I have a bad habit of inserting my ideas into shots and things. I don’t know, I don’t hold back on suggesting things, but I don’t have any connection to what actually happens, so I’ll make a suggestion on something and then just let it go.

People tell me, ‘Bill, let it go. The Kennedy assassination was years ago. It was just the assassination of a President and the hijacking of our government by a totalitarian regime – who cares? The thing that I do is that when I fail, I just keep quiet about it. I just let it go. It’s done. I just go to the next thing. I don’t complain, I don’t go to – I pick my battles very, very judiciously, and I just assume that there’s good in the heart of everybody.

It’s funny because when I got ‘Jarhead’ and ‘Avatar’ and all those movies, ‘Leprechaun’ still to this day airs on BET. I was thinking, ‘Will they just let it go? I finally have a body of work that can speak much better to what I can do than just Leprechaun.

When you have achieved a state of calmness and readiness, then you are ready to know, ready to understand in a deep way the dance between emptiness and appearance. Once you catch a glimpse of that dance, don’t hang on to it. Just let it go, like your first glimpse of essence love.

When I’m at the premiere and I see the film in its entirety, I forget plot, I forget the story, I forget what my character goes through, because I really do just let it go.

I think your emotion changes from person to person. As you get older, a lot of people become cynical because of the experiences they have had and haven’t been able to let go of, whether they’ve been cheated on or whether it hasn’t worked out. It’s so easy to turn around right now and say, “Just let it go.”

Some of us think holding on makes us strong; but sometimes it is letting go.

The world is won by those who let it go.

I’ve already got notebooks full of ideas for new music, so I’m gonna kind of nurture that just like I do all of my ideas and perfect it until it’s ready and then I’ll just let it go.

Decide to get over it. You know, just let it go. It can be that simple.

Ignore reality, there’s nothing you can do about it.
